What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon Hydrotherapy is the introduction of warm, filtered and temperature regulated water into the colon. The waste is softened and loosened by the water and then released through natural peristalsis. This is repeated several times during the session. It improves muscle tone and re-stabilizes normal bowel movements and enhancing the ability to absorb nutrients.
What many people don’t know is that its history dates back to the Egyptians using enemas 1700 B.C. The colon is an organ that absorbs water, nutrients and eliminates waste. Unfortunately, the typical North American diet is dangerously depleted in fiber and consists of large amounts of processed foods, fatty foods, fatty meats, refined sugars and toxic chemicals. Over time, a poor diet and lifestyle can lead to illness and disease. Luckily, our body is designed to heal and regenerate itself. Colon hydrotherapy may help in cleansing the body and aiding in detoxification.
